Purpose: To provide children aging out of foster care a nontraditional, yet viable option for becoming self-sustained productive citizens.
Mission: To provide a high-quality 12-month entrepreneurship training for children ages 17-21 who reside within the Clayton County Foster Care System and will be aging out of foster care in the years 2011 and beyond.
Enrollment Capacity: 20 Foster Children per 12 month calendar year.
Selection Criteria: Children must be between the ages of 17-21, reside in foster care homes in Clayton County, have graduated from high school or be a candidate for graduation in 2011 – 2013 or GED.
Attendance Commitment: Students must attend all 12 classes to graduate the program and receive their certificate of completion. Each student will be allowed one grace excused absentee that must be accompanied by a note from parent/guardian and all required assignments must be completed by the next class.
